Stop Animation Video Tuesday, May 19

1. My stop motion was about a dream. I chose this because it seemed like a good idea and it was the first I thought up. I honestly just wanted to get it started as early as I could to finish it. An example of my project was the person dreaming about the ocean, hence having fish in it.
2. I would rate my project a solid 6 because I did try and I did finish it.
3. I would probably do nothing different if I had to do it another time around. I managed my time well and the only reason it was this late was because my pictures weren't downloaded properly the first two times.
4. My stop motion is unique because there was a fish and jellyfish in it. I believe I thought outside of the box because no one else's had the exact thought process of mine.
5. I feel I deserve an A on this project. Although it is not perfect, I did get very frustrated but I believe it is still good work that I put a lot of effort into. I also had more than 250 pictures.

Unethical Practice--Monday, April 20th

In the video we watched, the students most likely cheated academically because they were lazy and didn't want to put their best effort into the papers. I think of the four offenses, Sandra should have gotten off with a warning because she wasn't the one who copied off of someone else and was just trying to help Sameer. Since these students did cheat academically, it will be difficult getting into another school because the college will think that they aren't very serious about school and no school wants those kinds of lazy students. At a college that I am think about attending they state that they do not allow any types of academic cheating and you will be failed in that class or expelled.

Sphero Macrolab Investigations Monday, March 9th

Lesson 1: Speed, Time and Distance

The activities we learned while programming sphero is we learned how to change the speed and how to stop the Sphero. We learned how to keep the Sphero going while setting the time. We learned how to roll the sphero which made it roll at a given speed and heading. We learned how to stop the Sphero which made it stop rolling immediately. With these commands we were able to roll and stop the Sphero at given times.

Lessson 2: 2D Geometry

The activities we learned while programming Sphero in Lesson 2 are how to make different colors and shapes. We also learned how to find different angles to create the shapes. In example, 0 degrees, 120 degrees, and 240 degrees makes a triangle. We already learned the commands roll and stop, the new commands we learned are the RGB which changes the color of the Sphero and we learned how to delay the color on the Sphero which sets the amount of time the ball waits to execute the next command. With these commands we were able to change the color of the Sphero and make shapes by delaying the Sphero to turn a different direction.

Friday, February 20 Wireless Communication

People can be more responsible with using and paying for their cellphones by making sure they have the right phone plan. You can also make sure you don't go over any of your texting or calling minutes to prevent any additional charges. The dangers of using a cellphone while driving are deadly. You could crash the car since you aren't paying much attention to the road, and you could also kill innocent people by swerving into different lanes. To prevent texting while driving, passengers can text for the driver or the driver can set up their phones to automatically respond with a message that says they are driving. Also, drivers can tell anyone they are talking to before hand that they will be driving and not to text them. If someone can't not text while riving, the best option is to put your phone out of reach so that you won't be tempted.

Tuesday, February 17 Six Sense Technology

During a TED talks video with Pranav Mistry, I learned many new things about the upcoming technology. I learned about Pranav's process of creating the new technology, which involved finding out how already available technology worked. One example was when he took apart computer mouses and then figured out how to create a digital reader for your hand gestures.  Pranav also showed some of his amazing inventions that he hopes will be available soon. The first one I will talk about is the pen that you can draw of your computer digitally with. He said the pen would be very nice for architects who are doing some digital blueprints. The second amazing invention was the pen that you could use to write on sticky notes as a reminder that also copied it to the computer as a reminder. He said he created this so that the reminders would be available is the digital world, and to save time for busy people. The third amazing invention is the camera and microphone combination that read or scanned anything that you are holding or reading and look it up online. He said he created this invention because it was a time-saving piece of technology that good really change and improve the world. The final and fourth amazing invention I will be telling you about is the paper-laptop. It is a camera and microphone  that you wear or clip onto something, such as a sheet of paper, and it allows you to browse the internet and do many more interesting things that even laptops can't do. The paper-laptop uses your hands like you would a mouse and you mark your fingers so that the camera would be able to distinguish between all of them. Some problems that all these new pieces of technology can have are just like any other new pieces of technology, some people can abuses the privilege. I think this new technology will really improve our digital world and is something that more companies should look into.
